    Sleep on a double-thick queen-size air mattress at night… spend the day lounging in the sun on the warm sand of the beach.

    – 20 minutes from gorgeous beaches, waterfront dining, USS Midway, Coronado Island, and tons of outdoor recreation
    – 15 minutes from world-class San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and sprawling Balboa Park (larger than NYC’s Central Park)
    – 15 minutes from easy-to-navigate airport w/direct connections to St. Louis, Chicago, and more
    – 25 minutes from the bartering markets and cheap lobster dinners of Mexico
    – 22 minutes from Cabrillo National Monument, where Europeans first landed in California
    – 17 minutes from Belmont Park’s historic seaside boardwalk

    Includes fresh sheets/towels, off-street parking, wi-fi, prayer kneeler, washer/dryer, outdoor dining area. No cable TV, but lots of sun, mild temps, and low humidity. Annual average temperature is 73F. Lutheran church fifteen minutes away. We keep a busy schedule so you will be on your own more often than not, but if you need a place to rest at night so you can go play during the day, San Diego is at your doorstep.

      Kathy and I enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were very accommodating, allowing us to get in late and leave early in the a.m. Like the description, there’s all kinds of things to do in this area and this place is relatively close to many of them. There’s hiking, museums, tide pools, SD Padres (weren’t in town 🙁 when we were there). While this is a beautiful, comfortable house in which to stay, San Diego is not a place to hang out in a house or a hotel room. There is so much to see and do and not all of it costs $$. If you want suggestions on where to eat, where to go, what to do, which beaches to go to, the family has a lot of information. This is a great family to stay with, very kind and generous.

      We had a great experience staying here! Cute and cozy accommodations, our 1 year old liked it too! The host was very flexible and accommodating. A great time all around!
